It's BEOWULF meets SASQUATCH
meets THE X-FILES. And it's funny.

“snappy and perfect; brilliantly fun.”
—God of Comics
“I’d like to give Erik Evensen a high-five.”
—Geeks of Doom
“When a perpetual grad student is called in to help investigate mysterious attacks thanks to his expertise in paleoanthro-pology, he gets more than he bargained for when he’s teamed with a no-nonsense sheriff and his brilliant daughter.”
—Nerdist.com
“You know what I love about this book? It’s proof that you can make a winning comic that is smart, fun, and still retains a level of seriousness. The Beast of Wolfe's Bay is a step in the direction where comics should go: not all-ages, but all-audiences.”
—Michael Moreci (writer, Hoax Hunters)

About the book:

The Beast of Wolfe's Bay is a graphic novel by Erik Evensen, author of the Xeric-winning Gods of Asgard. It is a sci-fi/adventure graphic novel (novella?) with a fun, comedic edge. As a modernization of the epic poem Beowulf, it pays homage to heroic myths while incorporating many modern myths and legends, as well. It's also really nerdy.

The Beast of Wolfe's Bay is currently available on amazon.com and comiXology, as well as your local comic shop (Diamond code APR131235).

Story synopsis:

Our story follows the adventures of a paleoanthropologist named Brian Wegman, a grad student at his wit's end who is called in to investigate a mysterious homicide in his longtime home-away-from-home, the lakeside college town of Wolfe's Bay. He consults with the local police, using his expertise to help identify some strange footprints and track down the killer. Along the way he will meet old friends, make new enemies, and if he doesn't screw anything up, he might finally finish his PhD – and maybe even become a hero.

About the Author:

“Erik Evensen proves that
the Internet isn’t totally full
of bad people.”
